Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-10-07

Draft template. Have this reviewed by a lawyer before publishing. Sections most likely to need rework: limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law / venue, arbitration clause (if any), and the arranger-content responsibility section.

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using the service operated by Zonventure AB (the "service"), you agree to these terms. If you don't, don't use the service.

2. Accounts

You're responsible for everything that happens under your account. Use a unique password and don't share your magic-link URLs. Notify us at hello@zonventure.com if you suspect compromise.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

4. Arranger content and responsibility

As an arranger, you create adventures, define puzzles, and invite players. You are solely responsible for that content and for obtaining any rights, releases, or consents needed (including location-based gating in places where consent is required, and consent from minors' guardians).

We review what is offered for sale (store listings and party offers) before it goes public, but not other arranger content. Other users may flag content via hello@zonventure.com; we may remove flagged content at our discretion.

5. Player consent

Players opt into geolocation explicitly via the browser permission prompt on the play page. Arrangers must inform players what data is collected during an event and link them to our Privacy Policy before the event starts.

6. Payments

Paid features (e.g. player-slot assignments) are billed through Stripe. Charges are non-refundable except where required by applicable law or where we choose to make exceptions on a case-by-case basis. Refund requests: hello@zonventure.com.

Right of withdrawal (EU consumers). The service is primarily aimed at organisations rather than individual consumers, but where the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) applies you ordinarily have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of contract. Because the service is delivered digitally and made available to you immediately on purchase, by completing a paid purchase you expressly request that we begin performance during the withdrawal period and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once performance is complete (Art. 16(a) and (m) CRD). Statutory consumer rights in your country of residence are unaffected.

7. Copyright and content takedown

We respect intellectual-property rights and act on valid takedown requests. The procedure below is intended to satisfy both the EU Digital Services Act notice-and-action mechanism (Art. 16) and the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 USC §512).

Send notices to hello@zonventure.com and include:

We will acknowledge valid notices within a reasonable time, remove or disable access to the material where appropriate, and inform the user whose content is affected. That user may submit a counter-notice containing the same identification elements plus a statement consenting to jurisdiction; if a counter-notice is submitted and we receive no notice of legal action within 10 business days, we may restore the material.

Repeat infringers' accounts will be terminated.

8. Service availability

We aim for high availability but make no specific uptime guarantees. Scheduled maintenance and unforeseen outages happen. Plan critical events with this in mind.

9. Termination

You may schedule your account for deletion at any time from Settings. Deletion has a 7-day grace window during which you can cancel by logging back in; after that the data is permanently removed. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or pose a security or legal risk to the service.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Zonventure AB is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the service.

This clause needs lawyer-tailored language for your jurisdiction (caps, carve-outs, consumer-protection exceptions).

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sweden unless mandatory consumer law dictates otherwise.

12. Changes

We may revise these terms; significant changes will be emailed to active accounts and the "Last updated" date will change. Continued use of the service after the change constitutes acceptance.
